Behind the balm...
I know what it is to feel like a stranger in your own skin.
The first half of my twenties were marked by chronic illness. Lyme disease wreaked havoc on my body -- inflamed skin, severe arthritis, brain fog, PMDD, the list goes on...
I certainly wasn’t showing up for life the way I wanted to, and the pain left me questioning what it takes to survive...let alone thrive in our modern world.
This curiosity grew into a deep commitment to live with more intention—how I ate, how I moved, what I consumed, and the products that I put on my body.
I began learning more about the intricate design of the human body, observing its innate ability to heal, and how to practically support those natural rhythms of repair and regeneration. Eventually my journey led me to become a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
Along the way, I learned a sobering truth: what we put on our bodies is just as important to our health as the food we ingest.
Unfortunately, most skincare products—even those marketed as "natural"—contain ingredients and concentrated oils that damage the skin's natural barrier and biome before they make their way into our bloodstream. They may offer temporary results, but over time, they do more harm than good.
Unable to find simple and effective products that truly nourished my skin, I set out to create my own. Drawing inspiration from centuries-old wisdom and time-tested remedies, I formulated products that supported my skin’s own healing process. They worked so well that I began sharing them with family and friends, and they were obsessed.
Now, at Pasture & Vine, I’m thrilled to share these products with you—hoping they’ll give you back what’s most precious: your time and the health to live it fully.
It's all about connection.
With love,
Laura
